Which I might dedicate a full post to actually, because it was beautiful and wonderful to see my family and I need a full post to at least be able to look back on years from now and remember fondly :) Here's a peek though

Oh, you know, just the view from the backyard of their house on Grand Lake. No big deal (!!!!) So beautiful every single night. I can't even BEGIN to describe Michigan weather in August
The first time I've seen my dad play in 3 years since I moved to LA! I always forget how FUCKING INCREDIBLE he is -- and I'm not just saying that because we're related by blood. I mean really. It's impressive. And his old friend Jimmy McCarty from The Rockets joined him onstage for a few songs.
The Fam Bam! Beautiful rainy day driving through our old neighborhood in Livonia so we stopped in a great little Irish pub for lunch
My dad's friend's gorgeous house that we stayed at the last few nights. I'm sorry, I'm really just in love with this house, I had to take a picture. I mean come on -- look at the view outside the window of my room! How could you not fall in love?
And getting a drink with my parents (weird!) at the airport bar since our flight had been delayed for 5 hours. My mom never orders anything but vodka tonics so I told her to live a little and get a Cosmo with me. So she did :)

Getting drunk at an interactive museum complete with a planetarium and aquarium = WIN.

At a friends house in Costa Mesa on this giant field at the top of a hill with a virtually 360° view of fireworks going off in all the surrounding cities, including Disneyland! It was CRAZY.
